Managing play dates in Round-Robin leagues
Round-Robin leagues now support the play date system, letting you organize matches by date instead of round number. This matches the workflow already available for Ladder leagues and is useful for weekly leagues where each play date represents a session.
Play dates are only available for league events. Non-league Round-Robin events continue using the standard round flow with one round per date.
View matches by date
When you open a Round-Robin league, it defaults to the By Date view. Your matches appear organized by play date—for example, Apr 11 rounds and Apr 18 rounds—instead of sequential round numbers.
Add a play date
Use the Round Date Management dialog to create new play dates for your league.
Tap the admin button.
Select Manage League Dates.
Tap Add Play Date.
Choose the date and time.
Confirm.
Adding a play date creates the rounds for that date. After you add a play date, go to that date and generate matches for it.
Remove a play date
You can remove play dates that do not have matches yet.
Tap the admin button.
Select Manage League Dates.
Tap the date you want to remove.
Tap Remove Date.
Confirm.
You cannot remove a play date that already has generated matches. Clear or complete those matches first.
Edit an existing play date
To change the date or time for an existing play date:
Tap the admin button.
Select Manage League Dates.
Tap the date card you want to edit.
Update the date or time.
Save your changes.
Changing a play date updates the schedule for all rounds on that date. Players see the new date in the app.
Change the round label
By default, rounds are named Round 1, Round 2, and so on. You can replace Round with a label such as Week, Session, or Night.
Tap the admin button.
Select Change Round Label.
Enter the new label.
Save.
When a date includes multiple rounds, the custom label appears in the sub-round naming. For a full walkthrough, see Configuring custom round labels.
What to do next
After setting up your play dates, generate matches for each date. For the match-generation workflow, see Generating matches by play date in Round-Robin leagues. To set player availability before generating, see League opt-in.
