Configuring custom round labels

Use custom round labels when you want league-style rounds to read as something your players already understand, like Week or Session. This is helpful for recurring leagues and staged events where “Round 1” is less clear than the label your club uses.

Custom round labels are available for league events. Directors usually set them before the event starts so players see the right wording in schedules and match updates.

Why use a custom round label

A clear label helps players know what part of the event they are in. If you run the same league every week, Week is easier to scan than Round. If your event runs in blocks, Session can make the structure clearer in the app and on match pages. It's up to you which label you choose.

Change the round label

  1. Open the event’s Matches view.

  2. Open the Admin menu.

  3. Select Change Round Label.

  4. Enter the label your club uses. (For example, if you want it to say Week 1 instead of Round 1, enter in "Week")

  5. Save the change.

The new label applies to that division’s league rounds after you save it.

Where it shows up

The round label appears anywhere the event displays round information, including scheduling and live event views. Use a label that matches how you plan to manage the event so players see the same language you use when posting updates and running matches.

Next step

After you set the label, review your league dates and schedule so each round uses the wording your players will see in the event.
