Add a member or change a member's tier
Add someone to your club's memberships from Members > Players & Members with Add member. To move an existing member to a different tier, choose Assign / change tier from the menu on their row. There you also choose when the new tier starts, how the change is billed and their next renewal date.
Any club admin can add members and assign tiers. Only the club owner can create tiers or use Bulk update.
Add a member by hand
On your club page, open Members and go to Players & Members.
Click Add member.
Choose Find a player to search for someone with a Good Game Sports account, or No account yet and enter their Full name and Email address. Click Next.
Pick a Tier, or leave it on Default free tier. For a family tier, also choose the Household size.
Click Add member. If your club has a waiver or terms, the button reads Next: waiver or Next: terms. Hand the screen to the member to sign with Sign and add member (or Agree and add member), or choose They'll sign in the app.
Take their card with Take card at the reader, or choose Skip for now.
A paid tier bills the card you take. Without a card, the first dues are posted to the member's balance as owed.
The member gets a welcome email. Someone with no account gets an email explaining how to claim the membership waiting for them. Until they claim it, the menu on their row offers Resend invitation, Copy invitation link and Revoke invitation.
Change a member's tier
Open the menu on the member's row and choose Assign / change tier. You can also open their profile and click Change tier (or Assign a tier) in the Manage card.
Under Choose a tier, select the new tier and, if it offers several, a Billing option.
Under When should it start?, choose Start now or Schedule a start date.
For a paid tier starting now, choose how to bill it under Billing for this change (see below).
Click Assign followed by the tier's name and now, or Schedule followed by the tier's name.
Start now replaces their current tier immediately and charges the card on file, or posts the dues as owed. With a scheduled start, they keep their current tier until that date and their card is charged then. If that charge fails, the new tier doesn't start.
Billing options for a change
Prorate the difference: credit for unused time on their current tier is taken off.
Charge the full price: a fresh full cycle with no credit. If you set a Next renewal date, this option reads Bill now and charges for the days until that date.
Waive the first payment: nothing is charged today and billing begins next cycle, with full benefits in the meantime. This isn't offered for one-time tiers.
When the member is moving off a paid tier, the option selected first comes from When staff assign a tier mid-cycle in Members > Settings. Otherwise it starts on Prorate the difference. If the tier has an initiation fee, you can tick the box to waive it. A summary at the bottom shows exactly what will be charged before you confirm.
Set the dates
Next renewal on the assign screen sets the date they're already paid through, for example their renewal date at their old club. It appears for paid recurring tiers starting now.
To move an existing renewal, open the member's profile and click Change renewal date. Nothing is charged or refunded: a later date gives them the extra days free, and an earlier date ends the paid period early.
To change many members at once, the club owner can use Members > Bulk update: Change / assign tier, Update price (reprice) or Update next billing date.
