Swap a player out with Edit Groups and regenerate
When a player or team drops out and the remaining schedule should change, move them to Excluded in Edit Groups, place any replacement in a group, and save. You then either remove them from the matches they haven't played, which keeps every result, or regenerate rounds, which deletes those rounds' matches and scores, completed ones included. This applies to Round Robin (Set Partners), Rotating Partner Round Robin and the other round robin formats. Ladder formats work differently (see the end of this article).
Edit the groups
Add the replacement on the Players tab, if there is one. In a fixed-partner format, edit the replacement and set their Partner to the player who is staying.
On the Matches tab, open the admin menu and choose Edit Groups.
Move the player or team who is out to Excluded. When you're editing one play date, this bucket reads Not playing with the date.
Drag the replacement into the right group.
Tap Save.
Choose how to apply the change
After saving, pick one option and tap Remove or Regenerate. Only removing leaves completed matches untouched.
Remove Players (or Remove Teams) appears only when every change was a move to Excluded. It deletes the unplayed matches that include them and keeps completed results and the rest of the schedule. It doesn't add a replacement.
From a round keeps the rounds before the round you pick and regenerates that round and every later one. Matches in the regenerated rounds are deleted, with their scores.
All rounds replaces every round. Completed matches and scores are deleted.
In Rotating Partner Round Robin, if you also placed someone in a group, the Edit Rounds dialog opens instead. Choose Regenerate Rounds and pick the round to regenerate from.
Regenerating can't keep finished games inside the rounds it rebuilds. To keep results, regenerate only from the first round that hasn't been played, or remove the player instead.
Ladder formats
In Ladder League and the other ladder formats, saving Edit Groups rebuilds only the courts you changed in the current round. If one of those courts already has scores, you're asked to confirm first.
When to use something else
To change one match without touching the schedule, see Replace a player in a single match.
For a league player who misses some weeks, register a sub instead. See Keep a sub pool and choose how subs affect standings.
