Generate matches for Rotating Partner Round Robin
Generate Rotating Partner Round Robin matches from the Matches tab: open Admin, choose Generate Matches, set rounds and groups, review players, then confirm. Partners are assigned automatically each round.
This flow is only for Round Robin (Rotating Partners), where players enter as individuals and change partners each round. For how the format works, see How Rotating Partner Round Robin works.
Generate matches
Create the schedule after your players are in the division.
Open the Matches tab.
Tap the Admin button.
Select Generate Matches.
Enter the number of rounds.
Enter the number of groups (also shown as pools).
If you choose more than one pool, select Random Pools or customize the pools.
Review the groups view. Move individual players between groups, or move a player to Excluded so they are not scheduled.
Tap Continue, then Confirm.
Groups contain individual players, not fixed teams. You can rebalance later from Edit player groups and regenerate in Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Choosing the number of groups
Groups are pools of players. Everyone in a pool plays and partners within that pool only — groups are self-contained in this format.
One group puts everyone in the same pool. The schedule cycles through fresh partnerships before it repeats any, so with a large field you will meet a wide spread of people, but you will not get to everyone unless you run a lot of rounds.
Multiple groups split the field into smaller pools. Inside a smaller pool the rotation gets through far more of the possible partnerships and matchups in the same number of rounds, so players actually face most of their pool rather than a random slice of a large field. It also lets you seed: put similar abilities together so games stay competitive, keep a social pool separate from a competitive one, or divide by court area to cut down walking.
A rough guide:

Aim for group sizes that divide by 4 where you can — those produce no byes. See the bye table in the walkthrough.
[!INFO] Players never cross between groups in this format. If you want a player to face a different set of opponents, move them to another group and regenerate.
What happens after generation
Matches appear organized by round. The system assigns new partners automatically each round.
Court assignments appear if courts are already configured. See Configure courts for Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Players left in Excluded are not placed into matchups.
Restrict Courts
When courts are configured, generation can limit how many matches run in each round.
Restrict Courts is off by default. With it off, the app schedules all matches in the round; extra matches wait for a court.
Turn it on to limit each round to your court count. The checkbox label shows the limit, such as Restrict to 2 Courts. For example, with 12 doubles players and 2 courts, the app schedules 2 matches in the round and the remaining players get a bye.
Use this when you want every match in a round to start and finish together. Configure courts first in Configure courts for Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Leagues and play dates
In a league, generate for a specific play date so only that date's rounds are created.
Only Opted In players for that date are included in the schedule.
Opted Out players appear in Excluded.
Select the play date on the Matches tab before you open Generate Matches. For the full per-date workflow, see Generate matches by play date in a Rotating Partner Round Robin league.
Tournaments and single day events do not work this way — they generate every round in one pass.
Clear before regenerating
You cannot generate new matches on top of an existing round. Clear the round first, then generate again with the new settings.
Tap Admin, then Clear Round.
Choose the round to clear and confirm.
Run Generate Matches again.
