Configure courts for Rotating Partner Round Robin
Configure courts for a Rotating Partner Round Robin from the Admin menu, then restrict rounds to your court count, auto-assign matches, or reassign a single match by hand.
Configure courts
Set the court numbers available for this division or the whole tournament before you generate or run rounds.
Tap the admin button.
Select Configure Courts.
Enter your court numbers. You can use ranges such as 1-12, 15.
Choose whether to apply the configuration to this division or the entire tournament.
Tap Save.
The dialog shows which courts are already in use by other divisions so you can avoid conflicts.
Restrict Courts when generating or editing rounds
When courts are already configured, the round robin generation and edit rounds dialogs include a Restrict Courts checkbox.
By default, Restrict Courts is off. With it off, the app schedules as many matches as possible in each round, even if you have fewer courts than matches. Extra matches wait for a court to open.
When you turn it on, the app limits each round to the number of configured courts. For example, if you have 12 doubles players and 2 courts, the app schedules 2 matches in the round instead of 3. The remaining team gets a bye for that round.
The checkbox label updates to the exact limit, such as Restrict to 2 Courts, and notes that only that many matches are scheduled per round while remaining players get a bye.
Use Restrict Courts when you want every match in a round to start and finish together. Leave it off if matches can wait for an open court and the round can run longer.
This option appears in the initial generation dialog for rotating partner matches and in the edit rounds dialog when you add or regenerate rounds. For round updates, see Manage rounds and play dates in Rotating Partner Round Robin. For the full format path, see the Rotating Partner Round Robin walkthrough.
Auto-assign courts
Turn on auto-assign so the system distributes matches across your configured courts and keeps upcoming matches updated as play finishes.
Tap the admin button.
Select Auto-Assign Courts to toggle it on or off.
When enabled, the system distributes matches across your configured courts. It assigns unassigned matches first and avoids double-booking courts that are already occupied.
Auto-assign runs each time a match completes, so upcoming matches stay updated.
Reassign a court manually
Override auto-assign for one match when you need a specific court number.
Tap the match card.
Select Reassign Court.
Pick the court number.
This overrides auto-assign for that match only.
Court assignment for added games
Games you add after generation are not auto-assigned to a court until both teams have real players.
Until both sides have real players, the match stays without an auto-assigned court. Assign players first, then let auto-assign run or use Reassign Court. For the full add-game flow, see Add an extra game in Rotating Partner Round Robin.
