Rename a team
How you rename a team depends on the format. In Team Event / MLP events, teams have their own names: on the Players tab, tap the pencil icon next to the team, change Team Name and tap Update Team. In set-partner doubles events, the team name is always the two players' names, so you change it by editing a player's name.
You need to be the event's host or a club admin.
Rename a team in a Team Event / MLP event
Open the event and go to the Host Dashboard.
On the Players tab, find the team.
Tap the pencil icon next to it. The Edit Team window opens.
Change Team Name.
Tap Update Team.
Two teams in the same division can't share a name. The same window also changes the team's division, color and password. For captains, see Assign and change team captains.
Change a team's name in a set-partner event
In Round Robin (Set Partners), Season Points League, Promotion/Relegation League, the set-partner ladder formats and doubles brackets, a team is shown as its two players, for example "Alex Kim & Sam Lee". There is no separate team name to edit. When you correct a player's name, every team they're on is renamed to match, including on match cards.
Open the event and go to the Host Dashboard.
On the Players tab, tap the pencil icon next to the player.
Change Name.
Tap Save.
To put a different player on the team, change the player's Partner in the same window instead.
