Sell items at the front desk with Point of Sale: receipts, refunds and the sales report
Open Point of Sale on your club page, tap the items to add them to the sale, and charge it with Charge card at the reader, Card on file or Bill account. Any club admin can ring up sales, send receipts and give refunds. Only the club owner can add or edit items and see the sales report.
Before you start:
Connect Stripe to take card payments, and pair a reader for in-person cards. See Pair a Stripe card reader for your front desk.
On a computer, Point of Sale is in the club sidebar, just under Home. In the app, tap New sale on the Front desk.
Add items to sell
In the register, tap Edit items. You can also go to Settings > Items for sale.
Tap New item and enter a Name, a Category and a Selling price. Add a Unit cost if you want to track margin. Members never see it.
Turn on Non-refundable if staff should be warned before refunding it.
Each category can use your Retail rate, its own sales tax rate, or be Tax exempt. Uncategorized items, rentals and one-off items pay your Retail rate from Sales tax.
We don't track stock for goods. Rentals are your court add-ons and share their stock count with court bookings.
To stop selling an item without deleting it, tap Retire. Sell again brings it back.
Ring up a sale
Tap item tiles to add them. Use the minus and plus buttons to change quantities. Use One-off item for something you sell once at a price you set.
To attach a member, search in Member by name, email or phone. You need a member to use a saved card or bill their account.
To discount a line, tap its tag icon and enter a Percent or Amount. Discounts apply to one line at a time, before tax.
Choose how they pay.
Charge card at the reader: they tap, insert or swipe. If a member is attached, turn on Keep this card on file to save the card to their account.
Card on file: charges the attached member's saved card. The card doesn't need to be there.
Bill account: adds the total to what the member owes. You collect it later from their ledger.
Complete sale · no charge: shows instead when the sale totals $0.
Card payments need a total of at least $0.50. The register has no cash button. On card sales the buyer pays a service fee, shown in Taxes and fees, so your club keeps the full price.
Send a receipt
Card sales have receipts. Billed and free sales don't.
Tap Receipt on the confirmation, or the receipt icon next to the sale in Recent sales.
Enter an Email and tap Email receipt. On the web you can also tap Print receipt. It fits an 80mm receipt printer.
Refund a sale
Tap Recent sales, then the refund icon on the sale.
Pick how many of each item are coming back. The refund amount follows the items.
For a card sale, choose Refund to: Original card, or Account credit if a member was attached.
For a refund to the card, choose Who covers the service fee?: Take it from their refund or The club covers it. A refund to account credit always gives back the service fee too.
Tap Refund (it shows the amount).
You can refund part of a sale now and more later. For a billed sale that hasn't been paid yet, tap Take off their account and the items come off what the member owes. Non-refundable items need Refund it anyway ticked first.
See the sales report
Owners open Billing & Reports > Retail sales. It starts on this month. Pick another period to see Sales, Discounts given, Tax collected and Profit, plus a By category table. Tap a category to see its items. Refunded items are left out. Use Download CSV to export it.
