Upload players to an event from a spreadsheet
Upload a CSV or XLSX file from the Host Dashboard's Players tab to add a whole roster to one division at once. The file needs a Name column (or First Name and Last Name). You pick the division before you upload, so the file has no division column. Column headers are matched loosely, so common variations like "firstname" or "email" work. For a file in a different layout, attach it in a Deuce chat instead and Deuce reads the columns for you. PDFs can't be imported.
Upload a file
Use this for registrations collected in another system. Players don't need a Good Game Sports account; they claim their spot later.
On the Host Dashboard, open the Players tab.
Click Upload (on a narrow screen, Upload Players in the ⋮ menu).
Select the division.
In a league, first choose how the new players start under Start these players as: Waiting, Opted in, or Opted out. If the league shows Which weeks?, pick the weeks too.
Choose Add to Existing to keep the players already there, or Replace All to clear the division first (confirm with Yes, Replace All).
Select your .csv or .xlsx file.
Replace All permanently deletes the division's current players before adding the file's players.

In doubles, each partner must also be a row in the same file, and partners must name each other. If one row lists a partner and that partner's row lists someone else, the upload reports a partner mismatch.
Upload players to a team event
In Team Event / MLP events, the upload adds players to teams. The tab is still called Players.
On the Players tab, click Upload Players.
Select the division and upload mode.
Select an .xlsx file (CSV isn't accepted for team uploads).
Include a Team Name column with Member First Name and Member Last Name. Leave Team Name empty to add that player as a free agent.
Import a spreadsheet in any layout with Deuce
Deuce, the assistant you open with Ask Deuce on your club and event pages, reads CSV, TSV, and XLSX files whatever their column names, including files with division, status, or sub columns.
Open a Deuce chat and attach the file.
Ask Deuce to add the players to your event.
Answer the one question card about anything the file leaves open, such as the division, add or replace, the starting status, or the weeks.
