Configure team scoring
Team scoring settings control how team matchups are calculated and who can submit scores. Review these settings before the event starts so captains, players, and hosts all follow the same rules.
Find this in Event Settings → Team Scoring Configuration. These settings affect both Captain permissions in team events and Score team matches.
Choose a scoring type
Total Score
Teams accumulate the points scored in each line. If you add a line bonus, the winner of each line gets those extra points in the standings.
Total Wins
Teams earn one win for each line they win. Standings are based on lines won, not total game points.
Use line weights in Total Wins
When you choose Total Wins, you can assign a different point value to each line. This lets you make one line count more toward the overall matchup result.
Open your division's Scoring Configuration.
Select Total Wins as the scoring method.
Scroll to the Line Weights section that appears below.
Use the dropdown next to each line to choose its value from 1 to 5 points.
By default, every line is worth 1 point. If you change a line to a higher value, winning that line adds more points toward the matchup total. For example, if Line 5 is set to 2 points, the team that wins Line 5 gets 2 points toward the matchup instead of 1.
Line weights only affect which team wins the overall matchup. Individual stats such as point differential and average points are still calculated per game and are not weighted.
Set score entry permissions
Allow captains to enter scores: Lets team captains submit scores for matches involving their team.
Allow players to enter scores: Lets players submit scores for their own matches.
Hosts and admins can always enter or edit scores.
Lock lineup
Use Lock lineup to stop captains from changing their team lineup. When this setting is on, captains can still view the lineup but cannot edit it.
For the captain view, see Captain permissions in team events.
Use line bonus
Line bonus is only available in Total Score mode. Enter the number of bonus points awarded to the team that wins a line. Leave it at 0 if you want standings to use raw game scores only.
After you save scoring settings, test the workflow in Score team matches.
