Create the private event from a signed proposal
Once the organizer signs, create the event itself from the Private event card on the proposal page. The event is where guests sign up, where you check them in, and where the matches are played. It's unlisted, free for guests, and only people with its invite link can join.
Create the event
On the request's proposal page, find the Private event card and click Create private event.
Check the details. The name, date, time, organizer and their contact details are filled in from the signed proposal.
Pick a Format, or leave it on Decide at the event and choose it once you see who came.
Click through the remaining steps and create the event.
Private events offer the formats where guests play without set partners, such as round robins, ladders, Up and Down the River and Crazy 8s. Set the format later from Edit event if you decided at the event; matches can't be made until a format is chosen.
Ask guests questions when they sign up
Sign-up questions collect what you need from each guest, such as their skill level or a T-shirt size.
In the event's details, find Sign-up questions and click Add a question.
Type the question and pick its type: Short answer, Pick one, Pick any or Yes / no.
Turn on Required if every guest must answer.
Answers show in the event's Players tab, and you can download them with the guest list.
Invite the guests
After you create the event, you get its invite link and a QR code. Send the link to the organizer to share with their group, and use Show QR code for the door for anyone who arrives without signing up. Get the link again any time from Invite guests on the Private event card.
Hold its courts
Choose which courts the event uses so they're blocked for it.
On the Private event card, click Choose courts.
Select the courts, then click Save courts.
If your club takes court bookings in GGS, members can't book those courts while the event runs. Bookings already on them stay, and the card lists them so you can sort them out. The card also shows how many guests have signed up against the headcount.
