Configure courts for Round Robin (Set Partners)
Set your court numbers, decide whether rounds should fit inside them, and let the app assign matches to courts automatically.
Configure courts
Tap the admin button on the Matches tab.
Select Configure Courts.
Enter your court numbers. Ranges work — for example 1-12, 15.
Choose whether to apply this to this division or the entire tournament.
Tap Save.
The dialog shows which courts are already in use by other divisions so you can avoid double-booking.
Restrict to Courts
Once courts are configured, the generate and regenerate dialogs show a Restrict to Courts option.
It is off by default in this format. With it off, the app schedules every match in the round, and matches that have no free court simply wait their turn — the round takes longer but everyone plays.
Turn it on to cap each round at your court count. Teams beyond that limit get a bye for the round instead of waiting.
Restrict off | Restrict on | |
|---|---|---|
Matches per round | All of them | Capped at court count |
Extra teams | Wait for a free court | Get a bye |
Round length | Longer | Everyone starts and finishes together |
Choose based on how you run the day. Restrict on suits a timed format where every round starts together; restrict off suits open play where courts free up as matches end.
With multiple groups, the court limit is shared across them rather than applied per group, so the total matches running at once stays inside your court count.
Auto-assign courts
Tap the admin button.
Select Auto-Assign Courts to toggle it on or off.
The app distributes matches across your configured courts, assigning unassigned matches first and avoiding courts that are already occupied. It runs again each time a match completes, so upcoming matches keep getting courts as the day goes on.
Reassign one match by hand
Tap the match card.
Select Reassign Court.
Pick the court number.
This overrides auto-assign for that match only.
