Plan courts and round times with Deuce
Deuce works out how many courts a private event needs for its format and headcount, how many rounds fit in the time booked, and when each round starts and ends. Use it before you quote courts on a proposal, or on the night when you know who came.
Find the Plan courts and round times with Deuce card in three places:
On the proposal page, under the Private event card.
In Edit event, under the format picker, where it follows the format you pick before you save.
On the event's host dashboard, as Plan courts and round times.
The plan needs a format and a headcount, so it stays greyed out until the event has both.
Read the plan
The plan names the format, the number of people and the time booked, then gives:
How many courts to use, and who sits out each round if the numbers don't divide evenly.
How many rounds fit in the booked time, and about how many games each person plays.
A round-by-round schedule with start and end times.
It counts 2 minutes between rounds for changing courts. Before guests sign up it uses the proposal's headcount; once they do, it uses the number signed up.
Adjust it
Courts: leave it on Deuce picks to get the best number (never more than your club has), or choose I'll set them to plan around the courts you can give it.
A game takes about: 10, 12, 15 or 20 minutes, or a custom length from 5 to 60. It starts at 15.
Format: try other formats to compare plans. This doesn't change the event's format.
The plan is a recommendation. It doesn't change the event's courts, times or proposal; hold courts with Choose courts on the Private event card.
