Creating an Event in GGS
You can create an event in Good Game Sports in three common ways. Use CourtReserve if the event already exists there and registrations should stay synced. Use GGS Registration if you want to build the event directly in Good Game Sports. Use bulk player upload if registration happened somewhere else and you want to bring the roster into GGS after setup.
Create an event with GGS Registration
This is the right option when you want to manage event setup and registration inside Good Game Sports.
Choose your event type in Choosing event type (Tournament, League, Single Day).
Add divisions with Creating multiple divisions within an event.
Set visibility with Event visibility: public vs unlisted.
Finish setup in Event settings.
Create an event from CourtReserve
This option requires a connected CourtReserve integration and the matching event flow in Good Game Sports.
If you need CourtReserve-based syncing, create the event from CourtReserve. An event created directly in Good Game Sports cannot be linked to CourtReserve later.
Create an event with bulk player upload
This is the right option when registration happened outside Good Game Sports and you want to add players after the event shell and divisions are already set up.
Start with Choosing event type (Tournament, League, Single Day) and Creating multiple divisions within an event. Then follow Create an event with bulk player upload to import the roster.
How to choose
Use CourtReserve if players register through CourtReserve and you want that event in Good Game Sports.
Use GGS Registration if you want to create the event and manage registration directly in Good Game Sports.
Use bulk player upload if players registered somewhere else and you need to import them into an event you already created in Good Game Sports.
Next, review Bracket formats overview, Round Robin formats overview, or Ladder formats overview as you finish setup.
