Remove a member from your club, and what happens to their data
Club admins can remove a member from the club, but can't delete the person's Good Game Sports account or their personal information. Only the member can delete their own account, from their profile settings. Removing someone ends their place in your club; their account and your club's payment records stay.
Remove a member from the club
You need club admin access. Someone who is also a club admin can't be removed until you take away their admin access in Manage club admins.
On your club page, open Members and go to Players & Members.
Click the member's name to open their profile.
In the Manage card, click Remove from club.
Confirm with Remove.
If the member still has paid time left, or other people are covered by their family membership, we spell out what the removal ends and ask you to confirm again with Remove anyway.
Removing a member ends any membership they hold today, with no refund for the rest of a paid period. To let them keep what they've paid for, cancel their membership at the end of the period instead, and remove them after it ends.
What removing a member does
Ends every membership they hold at your club and stops future charges, including recurring fees.
Takes your club off their My Clubs and removes them from the club community and its notifications.
Takes any family profiles on their account out of the club with them.
Ends the coverage of anyone else on their family membership. Those people stay in the club with no tier of their own.
Takes any balance they owe off your roster with them.
What stays
Their payment history stays with your club.
Any account credit stays on their account.
Their Good Game Sports account, profile, and event history are unchanged, because the account belongs to them.
The removal is recorded in your club's Audit log.
When a member wants their information deleted
Point them to Delete Account. In the app, they go to their profile, tap the settings icon, open More Settings, and tap Delete Account. For security, they may need to sign out and back in first.
Deleting an account clears everything that identifies the person and closes any family profiles they manage. Your club's records of payments they made stay, but no longer show who made them.
Members can also leave your club themselves with Leave club on their membership page, once any paid membership has been canceled.
