Control whether players can opt themselves in or out
By default, players in your league can opt in or out of upcoming rounds on their own from the app. If you prefer to manage attendance yourself, you can turn off player self-service per division from the Player Opt-In Configuration setting.
Where to find it
Open your league event and go to the Host Dashboard.
Go to Event Settings.
Tap Player Opt-In Configuration. This option appears for league-style events.
How to use it
The dialog lists each division with a toggle:
Toggle on — Players can opt in or out: players manage their own status for each round.
Toggle off — Managed by staff only: players can no longer change their own status.
If you have several divisions, use Enable all or Disable all to set them at once. Tap Save to apply.
What players see when self-service is off
Players still see their opt-in status for every round in the Player Hub and My Events, but they cannot change it. The buttons are replaced with a Managed by host note that tells them to contact you about changes.
What stays the same for hosts
You keep full control either way. From the Players tab on your host dashboard, you can still opt any player in or out individually or in bulk. The setting only restricts what players can do themselves, and it takes effect immediately without needing to republish the event.
Important details
The setting is applied per division, so you can let one division self-manage while locking another. It only applies to league opt-in; tournament-style check-in is controlled by the separate Check-In Configuration setting.
