What Deuce can do for your club
Deuce is the assistant built into Good Game Sports for club owners and staff. Ask it about your club and events, tell it what to change, or ask how something works. Deuce looks things up, prepares changes for you to review, and answers how-to questions from this help center. Nothing is saved until you tap Confirm on the card it shows you, and many changes can be undone.
Open Deuce
On your club page, click Deuce AI under Home, or the Deuce AI tile in your admin tools.
We're also rolling out a quicker way to reach Deuce from other screens. When it's turned on for you:
On the web, an Ask Deuce button appears in the corner of the screen.
In the mobile app, a Deuce icon (Ask Deuce) appears at the top of host screens, such as your host dashboard, an event's details or the create event form.
Deuce knows which page you opened it from, so you can say "this event". If you don't see these buttons yet, use Deuce AI on your club page.
Only club owners and staff can use Deuce. Your past chats are under Conversations. Other admins can't see them.
What Deuce can look up
Club numbers and trends, such as revenue, members and sign-ups
Lists of people, with contact details, which you can download with Export CSV
Your events, how full they are, and one event's divisions, registrations, waitlist and settings
Rounds, brackets, league nights, games and scores, and which games haven't been scored
Matchup stats, such as repeat partners or players sitting out twice in a row
Money an event has collected is shown to club owners only.
What Deuce can change
Players: add, remove, withdraw, move between divisions, pair partners, edit details, check in, opt in or out of league dates, and add subs
Import players from a CSV, TSV or Excel file you attach (up to 3 MB and 500 rows)
Generate matches: pools, round robins, brackets, league rounds and one-day ladders, including adding or regenerating rounds
Groups and courts: move or swap players between courts, assign courts, add or remove a court
Games and schedule: add or delete unscored games, move a league night or change its start time, rename rounds
Cancel events, upcoming dates or league nights
For new events, event edits, Event Settings and membership tiers, Deuce fills in the form for you and you save it there, for example with Open in Create event. Deuce can also write an email or announcement for you to copy; it never sends one.
Confirm and undo
Every change shows a card listing each change, with before and after. Tap Confirm to save it or Cancel to leave everything as it was. Typing "yes" doesn't save. A card you don't answer expires after 15 minutes.
After saving, an Undo button appears when the change can be reversed. You can also type "undo that" in the same conversation. These can't be undone:
Removing a player, and refreshing DUPR ratings
Replacing a whole roster from an import, or imported players once their division has matches
Clearing a night's games, or a schedule that replaced an earlier one
Generated games once a score has been entered
Cancellations. Everyone registered is told, and you must tick I understand this can't be undone before you confirm.
What Deuce can't do
Refund or charge players. Use the event's Players tab.
Remove a player who has paid, or cancel a paid date. Deuce points you to the right screen instead.
Move a player from one event to another. Add them to the new event, then remove them from the old one.
Enter scores.
How-to questions
Ask Deuce how something works and it answers from this help center, with links to the articles it used. If no article covers your question, it says so rather than guessing.
