Set up coaching: add coaches and lesson types, and handle lesson requests
Add your lesson types and coaches in the Coaching manager, and members can then pick a coach on your club's Coaching tab and send a lesson request. The coach or a club admin arranges the time with the member, books the lesson in the Scheduler, and marks the request handled. Members don't pick a time slot or pay when they request.
Before you start:
Coaching comes with court booking, which is part of a facility plan. The Coaching tab appears once court reservations are on.
Only club admins can add coaches and lesson types.
Open the Coaching manager
On the Coaching tab, tap Manage (or Add a coach if you have none yet). You can also go to Settings > Manage coaches & lessons.
Add a lesson type
Next to Lesson types, tap Add.
Enter a Name (such as Private Lesson) and an optional description.
Set Max players from 1 to 8. Above 1, the booker pays the session price and brings the others.
Enter the Rate per hour, then tap Save lesson type.
Rates are per hour and scale with the length booked, so a 30-minute lesson costs half. A membership tier can give its members a discount or a set price for each lesson type. Turn off Active to hide a type from members.
Add a coach
Next to Instructors, tap Add.
Under Coach's account, tap Choose to link their Good Game Sports account. It fills in their name and photo and adds them to your club.
Fill in the Display name, an optional Bio shown on their coach card, and a Contact email if they have no linked account.
Tick the Lesson types this coach offers, with an optional override price per type (for example, a head-pro rate).
Set How this coach is paid: Share of revenue, Hourly rate or Per lesson.
Tap Add coach.
The Weekly availability section in the coach editor is marked Not used yet. It doesn't affect members, because members request lessons rather than booking a slot. Time off is set per coach under Time off. Turn off Active to retire a coach while keeping their lesson history.
How members request a lesson
On the Coaching tab, the member taps a coach and then Request a lesson.
They answer who the lessons are for, skill level, when they'd like to start, and any notes.
They tap Send request.
Only club members can send requests. The coach and every club admin are notified. The member can see the request, or withdraw it, under My requests.
Handle lesson requests
Tap Requests on the Coaching tab. Admins see every request. A linked coach sees only their own, here or in My coaching. Each request shows the member's email so you can reach out.
Contact the member and agree a time.
Book the lesson in the Scheduler: tap a slot, choose Book this slot, and pick Lesson. Coaches can also tap Book a lesson on the request in My coaching.
Tap Mark handled. The member gets one notification and email saying it's arranged. Use Reopen to undo; reopening doesn't notify them again.
Cancel a lesson
The member, the coach or a club admin can cancel. A member who cancels before your court cancellation cutoff is refunded. After it, there is no refund. When a coach or admin cancels a paid lesson, they choose Refund to original payment, Give as club credit or No refund.
Admins can see what each coach is owed for lessons they taught under Coach earnings on the Coaching tab. Coaches see their own in My coaching > Earnings.
