Copy an event from a previous one
To reuse an event you already ran, start creating a new event and tap Import on the Import from a previous event card at the top of the first page. Pick the old event and we fill in the form with its details, divisions and description. Nothing is saved until you finish creating the event, so review every page and change the dates before you submit.
The import is only on the create screen. You can't import into an event that already exists.
Import an event
Start a new event from your club page, the same way as in Creating an Event in GGS.
On the first page, tap Import on the Import from a previous event card.
In Import From Previous Event, tap the event to copy. Your club's most recently created events are listed first (up to 25 public and 25 private), and private ones are marked Private.
Check each page of the form and change anything that's different this time, starting with the dates.
Create the event as usual.
What gets copied
Event details: name, location and address, start time, event type, format, image and description.
Dates: the old event's dates come across unchanged, so set the new ones. When you copy a private event that's already in the past, the dates are left for you to pick.
Pricing and registration: price, member price and drop-in price, members-only and membership tier prices, capacity, whether refunds are allowed, whether the event is hidden, Good Game Sports or external registration, who pays processing fees, guest checkout, and pay-the-organizer settings.
Extras: T-shirt sizes and deadline, and whether you collect an emergency contact.
Divisions: each division's name, singles or doubles, capacity, sign-up type, dates and time, price, format, DUPR requirement, skill level, gender and age limits.
What doesn't get copied
Players, waitlists, payments, matches and scores. The new event starts empty.
Event Settings such as courts, scoring and standings. Set them again on the new event after you create it.
To seed a new ladder from where players finished last time, that's a separate step after the new event exists. See Seed the first round from a previous event.
