How players join a membership and manage their plan

Players join a club's membership by tapping Join club on the club page and picking a tier. Afterwards, everything about their plan lives under My Membership on the club page: changing plan, pausing, canceling, their card and their payments. Share this with players who ask how it works.

Join a membership

1. Open the club's page and tap Join club.

2. Under Who is this membership for?, choose yourself or a family member on your account.

3. Under Choose your membership, tap the join button on a tier, for example Join Gold or Join Free.

4. Fill in the details the club asks for and tap Continue.

5. On Review & confirm, check the payment summary. Tap Review & agree to read and accept the club's disclosure.

6. Tap Confirm & pay (or Confirm & register for a free tier).

A paid tier is charged to the card entered at checkout, and that card is saved for renewals. Some tiers also charge a one-time joining fee. A tier that needs approval shows Request to join instead, and nothing is charged until the club accepts it. A full tier offers Join the waitlist instead.

Change plan

On My Membership, tap Change plan to see every tier with its price.

• Moving to a pricier tier happens today. On the same billing cycle you pay the difference for the rest of the cycle, then the full price on your usual renewal date. Credit for unused time is taken off.

• Moving to a cheaper or free tier waits. You keep your current tier until the end of the period you paid for, then switch. Nothing is charged today.

• Change billing cycle appears on your current tier when it offers several cycles.

The screen shows exactly what you'll pay before you confirm.

Pause or cancel

• Pause (only if the club allows it) stops billing and keeps your remaining paid days. While paused you have free-tier access, without member pricing. Tap Resume to start again.

• Cancel ends your membership at the end of the period you've paid for. You keep your benefits until then and aren't charged again. Tap Changed your mind? Keep my membership to undo it.

Some tiers have a minimum commitment. Until it's served, you can't cancel or move to a cheaper tier yourself. If you see "This membership is managed by club staff", contact the club to make changes.

Manage billing

Open the Billing & payment tab on My Membership.

• Payment method: tap Update card (or Add card). You can't remove the card your dues are paid with while you're on a paid tier.

• Amount due: tap Pay to settle anything you owe the club.

• Account credit is applied automatically before your card is charged.

• Payments lists everything the club has charged you.

If a renewal payment fails, update your card and we retry it right away. The club decides how many days you keep access while it's overdue.

Leave the club

Leave club, at the bottom of My Membership, removes the club from My Clubs and leaves its community. Your payment history stays with the club.
