Run a private event: sign-ups, check-in and matches
Guests sign up from the event's invite link, you check them in from the event's Players tab, and you make the matches once you know who came. Guests never need a GGS account.
How guests sign up
The invite link opens a page with the event's name, date, time and location. Each guest enters their name and email, answers any sign-up questions, and agrees to your club's waiver.
One person can sign up their group, up to 20 people at a time, with Add a person. Everyone with an email gets their own confirmation and a link to sign the waiver.
Signing up twice with the same email doesn't add a second spot.
The event is free for guests. The headcount on the proposal is for planning; sign-ups aren't capped at it.
To see who's coming, click Invite guests on the proposal's Private event card, or open the event's Players tab.
Check guests in at the door
Open the event's host dashboard and stay on the Players tab. The count at the top shows how many are checked in.
Tap the status icon next to a guest to check them in.
A guest whose waiver isn't signed shows Waiver not signed · Sign now. Tap it, hand them your device, and they type their full name and tick the box. You're recorded as the witness.
To check in someone with an unsigned waiver anyway, choose Check in anyway and have them sign later.
Add a walk-in
On the Players tab, click Add.
Enter their name. Email is optional; with one, you can email them the waiver instead of signing on your device.
Click Add and check in.
Download the guest list with waiver status and answers from the Players tab's ⋮ menu, under Download player info.
Make the matches
The event needs a format before matches can be made. If you chose Decide at the event, set it now in Edit event.
From the event page, click View Matches.
Click Admin, then Generate Matches.
Set the number of rounds (Deuce's plan suggests how many fit) and click Generate.
To hand out courts as games finish, open Admin > Configure Courts to pick the event's courts, then turn on Auto-Assign Courts.
