Edit groups and regenerate in Round Robin (Set Partners)
Group editing controls which teams are in which pool, and regeneration rebuilds the schedule around a changed field. Together they cover dropouts, rebalancing, and last-minute changes without losing completed scores.
In this format groups hold teams, so partners always move together.
Edit groups
Tap the admin button on the Matches tab.
Select Edit Groups.
Drag team chips between groups, or into Excluded to take a team out of play.
Tap Save Changes.
What you see in the editor:
Each team appears as a chip showing the team name and its rating (DUPR, VAIR, or whichever system applies).
On leagues, chips also show whether the team has opted in or out.
An Excluded section sits at the bottom — anything dragged there is removed from play.
A count badge tracks how many teams you have moved, and moved teams highlight in orange.
You can also Add Group, or delete a group with the red X on its header. Deleting moves that group's teams to Excluded, and you must keep at least two groups.
Group changes do not update existing matchups on their own. After saving, the regenerate dialog opens so you can apply them.
Withdraw or regenerate
When you save, you get up to three choices depending on what you changed.
Withdraw Teams
Only offered when every change was an exclusion. It deletes the unplayed matches involving the excluded teams and leaves everything else alone — completed scores, court assignments, and the rest of the schedule all stay.
This is the safest option when a team drops out mid-event. It does not rebalance the remaining schedule or fill the gaps it leaves.
Regenerate from a specific round
Keeps earlier rounds and rebuilds from the round you pick onward. If you have five rounds and choose round 3, rounds 1 and 2 keep their matches and scores; everything from 3 on is deleted and rebuilt.
The default starting round is the first one after your last scored round, so completed results are protected unless you deliberately go back further.
Regenerate All Rounds
Deletes every round — including completed and scored matches — and builds a fresh schedule.
Regenerating all rounds cannot be undone and will destroy scores. The app shows a red warning first. Use it only for a genuine full reset.
Options during regeneration
Restrict to Courts — cap each round at your court count; surplus teams get a bye.
Allow Cross-Group Play — let teams face opponents from other groups. Leagues only. The setting is remembered on the division, so the dialog opens with your current choice.
Round Date — apply a date to all regenerated rounds.
Typical dropout workflow
When a team leaves partway through:
Open Edit Groups and drag the team into Excluded.
Tap Save Changes.
Choose Withdraw Teams if you just want their remaining matches removed and everything else untouched.
Choose Regenerate from a specific round — starting at the next unplayed round — if removing them leaves byes or uneven pools you want cleaned up.
Rounds already in play are never rewritten by a withdrawal, and byes recorded for rounds that have started are kept as history rather than scrubbed.
