The two players aren't linked to each other. On the Players tab, tap the pencil icon on one player, choose the other as their partner and save. Then close and reopen Edit Groups. Both players must also be in the same division.
Add a team to a Round Robin (Set Partners) event in progress
To add a team to a Round Robin (Set Partners) event that has already started, add both players and link them as partners, add a court if you need one, place the new team in a group with Edit Groups, then regenerate from the first round that has no scores. Scored rounds are never changed.
You need host access to the event. The steps below use the Players tab in the Host Dashboard and the Admin menu on the Matches tab.
1. Add the players and link them as partners
A team exists only once both players name each other as partners.
CourtReserve events: on the Players tab, tap the refresh icon (Sync from CourtReserve). New registrants are added, and a partner named on the CourtReserve registration is linked. See Sync players into an event.
Other events: on the Players tab, tap Add for each player (on a phone, tap the three-dot menu and choose Add Player). See Add players to your event. Then tap the pencil icon next to one of them and choose the other as their partner. Setting a partner here links both players at once.
2. Add courts before you regenerate
Each match needs its own court, so two teams use one court per round. Going from 6 teams to 8 takes you from 3 matches per round to 4.
Tap Admin, then Configure Courts.
Add the extra court numbers and save.
If you tick Restrict to [number] Courts when you regenerate and you have too few courts, the app schedules only one match per court each round, and the remaining teams get a bye. See Configure courts for Round Robin (Set Partners).
3. Place the new team in a group
Opening Edit Groups is what creates the team from the partner link. A new team always starts in the bottom section, called Excluded (or Not playing and the date, when you're viewing a league by date). Teams left there are not scheduled.
Tap Admin, then Edit Groups.
Find the new team in the bottom section.
Drag it into the group it should play in.
Tap Save & Generate.
4. Regenerate the unplayed rounds
Saving your groups opens the regenerate step straight away.
Choose From a round. The app preselects the round after the last one with a finished match.
Check the start round is the first round with no scores.
Tap Regenerate.
Rounds before the start round keep their matches and scores. In a league you're viewing By Date, you get that date's regenerate step instead, and it changes only the play date on screen. For every regenerate option, see Edit groups and regenerate in Round Robin (Set Partners).
If you cancel the regenerate step, your group change is saved but no matches are created for the new team. Open Admin and regenerate from the first unplayed round.
When the new team doesn't show up
The new team isn't in Edit Groups at all
I regenerated, but the new team has no matches
The team was left in the bottom section, or regeneration was cancelled. Reopen Edit Groups, drag the team into a group, save and regenerate from the first unplayed round.
Regenerate is refused because of completed matches
The start round you picked already has scores. Choose From a round and pick the first round with no scores. To replay a round that has scores, clear it first with Clear Round in the Admin menu, which deletes that round's matches and scores.
