Generate matches by play date in a Rotating Partner Round Robin league
In a Round Robin (Rotating Partners) league, you can generate one play date at a time or every play date at once. Generate Matches asks which: the date you're on (Generate for this play date only) or All Play Dates. Tournaments and single day events skip this choice and generate every round in one pass.
This also applies to Mixed Gender Rotating Partners and Round Robin with Pros leagues.
Why generate per date
A league roster changes week to week. Generating one date at a time builds each week from the players who opted in for that week, instead of locking in a season of pairings that dropouts would break.
Partners rotate within that date's rounds, and byes are balanced within the date.
Pairings from earlier dates are used as a tiebreaker, so players who already partnered are less likely to be paired again.
Generate All Play Dates when you want the whole season laid out now. It uses the players opted in for the first date, so someone who opts out of a later date can still appear in its matches. Once any match in the division has a score, Generate Matches only offers the date you're on.
Before you generate
Add your play dates in Manage Play Dates. Adding a play date creates its rounds, not matches. See Manage rounds and play dates in Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Give players time to opt in for the date.
Confirm your courts in Configure courts for Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Generate matches for a play date
On the Matches tab, in the By Date view, use the arrows beside the date (or tap the date to jump to another) to pick the play date.
Tap Admin, then Generate Matches.
Choose the date (Generate for this play date only) or All Play Dates.
Enter Rounds and Groups, optionally tick Restrict to 2 Courts (numbered to match your courts), then tap Generate.
The group editor opens for that date. Tap Looks Good, or move players and tap Save & Generate.
Generating one date leaves the other play dates and their scores untouched. For the rounds and groups settings, see Generate matches for Rotating Partner Round Robin.
Who gets included
Players opted in for that date are scheduled.
In the By Date view, players who opted out appear under Not playing with the date in the group editor. Dragging someone there leaves them out of that date only; they keep their group and play every other date.
If fewer than 4 players are playing on the first generation, we include everyone you haven't sat out instead. Check the group editor before you tap Looks Good so nobody unexpected is scheduled.

Regenerate or extend one play date
In the By Date view, use these Admin items so the rest of the season stays as it is.
Regenerate This Date opens Regenerate Matches for the date on screen. Choose All rounds, or From a round and pick where to start, then tap Regenerate.
Add Rounds to This Date appends rounds and keeps existing matches and scores.
Rounds that already have scores can't be regenerated. Start from the first unplayed round, or clear the scores first.
