The file is a format we cannot read in this browser — usually a HEIC photo from an iPhone. Convert it to JPG, or upload it from the mobile app instead.
Club and event image sizes
Club and event images are wide banners cropped to roughly 570 by 240 pixels. Upload a landscape image at least 1200 pixels wide in JPG or PNG, and crop it in the app.
What each image needs
Image | Shape | Largest file you can pick |
|---|---|---|
Club cover | Wide banner, cropped to 570 x 240 | 50 MB |
Event image | Wide banner, cropped to 570 x 240 | 50 MB |
Player profile photo | Square | 10 MB |
We save the crop at up to 1200 pixels on its longest side. Anything smaller than that going in will look soft on a large screen, so start with a wide, high-resolution image and crop down.
File types we accept
JPG, JPEG, and PNG work everywhere. Photos straight from an iPhone are usually HEIC: those work in the mobile app, which converts them for you, but they are rejected in a web browser. Convert a HEIC photo to JPG first if you are uploading from a laptop.
Change your club cover
Only club admins see the control, and it sits on the banner itself rather than in a settings page.
Open your club page.
Click Edit Cover on the banner.
Pick your image, then drag the crop box or drag its corners to choose what stays in frame.
Save the crop to upload it.
The crop box here matches the banner as it is drawn on the screen you are editing from — a short wide strip on the web, slightly taller on a phone. Cropping on the device your players mostly use gives you the frame they will actually see.
Change an event image
The event image is part of the event form, so you set it when you create the event and change it the same way afterwards.
Open the event and start editing it, as in Edit or delete an event.
Go to the Event Image section.
Upload and crop the new image.
Save the event.
When an image will not upload
"Only JPG, JPEG, and PNG images are supported"
"Image is too large"
The file you picked is over the limit for that slot: 50 MB for club and event images, 10 MB for a profile photo. Export it at a smaller size and pick it again.
The image looks stretched or cuts off your logo
Every slot crops to a fixed shape, so a square or portrait image loses its top and bottom. Add space around your logo in a wide image before uploading, and keep anything important away from the edges.
