Is there a test mode for payments?
No. Good Game Sports has no test or sandbox mode for payments. Every card payment on a club event is a real charge, and fees apply to it. To try out registration without paying, make a free event. To try the paid checkout, register with a small price and refund yourself afterwards.
Test registration with a free event
A free event takes players through the same sign-up steps without charging a card, and has no fees.
Create the event as usual.
Leave Base Price empty or enter 0.
Register yourself, or a friend, to see what players see.
At clubs that take court bookings through Good Game Sports, the price field is labelled Price: Free tier or Price: non-members & Free tier and shows Free when left empty.
Test a paid checkout
Set a low price, register with your own card, then refund the payment from the event's Players tab. See Refund a player's entry fee for the steps.
A test payment isn't free. Our platform fee isn't returned on a refund, so you lose the service fee either from your refund or from your club's money, depending on who you choose to cover it. On a $1.00 price the service fee is $0.37; on $40.00 it's $2.74.
