Show full names or last initials
Name Display Configuration decides whether players appear by full name or by first name and last initial — "Marcus Taylor" or "Marcus T.". You choose the style separately for each division, and every division starts abbreviated.
Choose the name style
The setting only changes how names are drawn, so it applies to matches that have already been played as well as ones still to come.
Open the event from your Host Dashboard and go to Event Settings.
Click Name Display Configuration.
Check a division to show full names, or leave it unchecked for first name and last initial. Check All and Uncheck All set every division at once.
Click Save.
A division you add later starts abbreviated, even when every other division in the event shows full names. Come back and check the new division to match.
Where the name style applies
The setting covers the places names are read during play:
Match cards and the Matches tab in every format, including brackets and team matchups
Standings
My Matches
Group and lineup editors, such as Edit Groups
Printed schedules
Player lists always show full names, including registrations, the Players tab, and team rosters.
Printed schedules
An abbreviated name on a printed schedule keeps two letters of the last name — "Marcus Ta." — so two players who share a first name and last initial stay apart on the courtside sheet. Divisions set to full names print in full.
