Setting dates, location, and timezone

Set the event dates, location, and timezone when you create an event so schedules, notifications, and round times stay accurate.

Use the web app for setup. This article covers the event details on page 1 of the create-event flow.

Enter the location

In Location Details, fill in the club and address fields for the event location.

  1. Open the create-event flow from Step-by-step event creation walkthrough.

  2. Complete Club, Address, City, and State.

  3. Double-check the address before you save the event.

Set the dates and time

In Date and Time, choose the event Start Date and End Date, then set the start and end time range.

  1. Select the Start Date.

  2. Select the End Date.

  3. Choose the event time range.

  4. Make sure the dates match the full run of the event, including any multi-day play.

Confirm the timezone

The event timezone is used in the create-event date and time pickers. Set it correctly before you save the event so match times display in the right local time.

  • Use the timezone for the club or event location.

  • Verify the timezone before you publish schedules or send notifications.

After the event is saved, use Scheduling and Court Assignment to generate rounds, then Running Your Event when play starts.

What to do next

Continue to registration and payment settings before you open the event.
