Event settings
Use Event Settings to configure how your event runs after you create it. The options you see depend on the event format you chose, not whether GGS registration is enabled.
Open your event, then go to Event Settings. If a setting does not appear, your event format does not support it.

Settings for specific formats
Set Opt-In Deadline appears for leagues, ladder leagues, Crazy 8's, and Pecking Order. It sets how far in advance players must opt in before each round starts, and you can add reminders so players are notified before the deadline. For the full workflow, see League opt-in.
Player Opt-In Configuration appears for the same formats. It controls whether players can opt themselves in and out, or whether only you can.
Check-In Configuration appears for the formats that do not use opt-in. It controls, per division, whether players must check in before play starts.
Challenge Ladder Settings is for Challenge Ladder divisions only. It holds the round window, challenge limits, points, and contact sharing. See Challenge Ladder settings.
Team Lineup Configuration is for team formats only, including 24-hour and MLP league formats. Use it to set how many lines each team matchup includes. For more detail, see Configure team lineups.
Team Scoring Configuration is for team formats only. It controls team scoring rules and who can enter scores.
Team Event Configuration is for team formats only. It controls whether players can create teams, whether free agents are allowed, and related team setup options. See Assign and change team captains and Free agent settings.
Ladder League Configuration is for ladder league variants and Crazy 8's. It controls how far players move up or down and partner match behavior for doubles ladders. See Ladder League Configuration settings.
Limits set outside Event Settings
How many players a division holds is its Capacity, and that field is in Edit Event under Divisions, not here. See Change how many players can register for a division. The event name, dates, format, and base pricing are in the same editor.
GGS registration applicability
These settings are not gated by GGS registration. They are all based on the format you picked when you created the event.
If you need help because Event Settings is failing to load or you are seeing a 400-type error, email [email protected].
What to set up next
After you finish Event Settings, continue with event creation in Creating an Event in GGS or review related format-specific setup in Configuring custom round labels.
