Generating a Compass bracket
All four Compass brackets are created in one step, from Bracket 1. You cannot generate them separately.
Generate the brackets
Add all teams to the division first.
Open the Knockout tab and go to Bracket 1 (Main Draw).
Tap the Admin button.
Select Generate Bracket.
Set the seed order.
Confirm.
The app creates Brackets 1 through 4 together and wires the drop paths between them.
Admin controls — Generate Bracket, Clear Knockout Bracket, and the rest — appear only on Bracket 1. This is deliberate: the other three brackets are built from Bracket 1's results and cannot be generated on their own.
Set the seed order
A standalone Compass event has no standings to seed from, so you order the 16 teams yourself. The app then applies standard placement, keeping the top seeds apart and giving byes to the strongest.

Fewer than 16 teams
Compass is built for exactly 16. With fewer, the remaining slots fill with byes.
Those byes propagate on their own: a team facing a bye advances without playing, and the app carries that through the drop paths too, so lower brackets fill correctly without manual scoring.
What gets built
Bracket 1 — all 16 teams, decides 1st–4th
Bracket 2 — Bracket 1 first-round losers, decides 9th–12th
Bracket 3 — Bracket 2 first-round losers, decides 13th–16th
Bracket 4 — Bracket 1 quarterfinal losers, decides 5th–8th
Each bracket also gets its own bronze match, fed by its two semifinal losers.

After generating
Score from the bracket cards — winners advance and losers drop automatically. See Scoring bracket matches.

Rebuild
Clear Knockout Bracket from Bracket 1's admin menu removes all four brackets at once, then generate again.
Clearing deletes every match, score, and court assignment across all four brackets. It cannot be undone.
