Getting started with bracket formats
Bracket formats seed a field of teams into a knockout draw and play down to a champion. We offer four: Single Elimination, Double Elimination and Triple Elimination (under Bracket Style Formats in the format list) and Compass (under Specialty Formats). They differ in how many losses a team survives.

Event lifecycle
Create the event and add teams. See Create a bracket event.
Set up courts. Add courts with Configure Courts in the bracket's Admin menu, and turn on Auto-Assign Courts if you want ready matches placed on open courts for you. See Court management in bracket formats.
Generate the bracket. Choose Generate Bracket in the Admin menu and confirm the seed order. Each format has its own guide: single, double, triple, Compass.
Run the bracket. Score from the match cards, and winners advance automatically. See Scoring bracket matches.
Fix problems. Swap a team into a slot or correct a score with Editing bracket matches.
Publish results. Use Viewing Final Placements once the final is scored.
Hiding the bracket before event day
Brackets cannot be hidden. Once you generate a bracket, players can see it. If you don't want the draw public early, add your teams but wait to run Generate Bracket until event day.
Good to know before you start
Seeding is a dialog you confirm. The Seeding dialog opens sorted by DUPR rating when any team has one. Drag teams to change the order, or tap Sort by DUPR to reset. Top seeds are kept apart. See How seeding and byes work in bracket formats.
Byes go to top seeds. A field that does not fill a power-of-two draw (4, 8, 16, 32) gets byes, and the strongest seeds skip the opening round.
Add everyone before generating. Teams added afterwards are not in the bracket, so you would need to clear and rebuild.
Clearing is irreversible. Clear Knockout Bracket deletes every bracket match, score and court assignment.
Host View is Double Elimination only. Among these four formats, only Double Elimination has Host View (LIVE, QUEUE and COMPLETED tabs across divisions). See Managing the match queue in bracket formats.
