The format you used before is not listed.
Cause: It was renamed. The format is now Season Points League (Set Partners).
Fix: Select that instead — it is the same format, and existing leagues are unaffected.
Most problems here come down to team count or the points table.
The format you used before is not listed.
Cause: It was renamed. The format is now Season Points League (Set Partners).
Fix: Select that instead — it is the same format, and existing leagues are unaffected.
Generation fails, usually with a count mismatch.
Cause: You need exactly tiers × teams per tier fully partnered teams. With the default 3 tiers of 5 that is 15 teams — 30 players, all paired. Unpaired players do not count toward the total.
Fix: The app reports how many fully partnered teams it found. Pair everyone, remove extras, or add teams until the count matches exactly, then generate again.
You changed the tier shape and generation now refuses.
Cause: The built-in points table only covers the default 3 tiers of 5. Any other shape needs its own table — the app will not invent one.
Fix: Supply a table with one row per tier (top tier first) and one value per finishing position. See Custom tiers and the season points table.
You supplied a table and it still will not accept it.
Cause: The dimensions do not match your shape. It must be exactly one row per tier, each row exactly as long as your tier size.
Fix: Count the rows and the values per row against your tier count and tier size. A 4-tier league of 6 needs 4 rows of 6. Values must be whole numbers and not negative.
The default names did not appear.
Cause: Gold/Silver/Bronze are used only when you have exactly three tiers. Any other count falls back to numbered names.
Fix: Expected. To use your own names, set one per tier — they must be unique, since names double as group names and standings sort keys.
Tier assignments are locked.
Cause: Tier edits are only allowed when the current week has matches but no scores yet.
Fix:
If the week has no matches, generate it first.
If any match is scored, clear those scores before editing.
Saving tier changes regenerates that week's round robins.
You advanced before all results were in.
Cause: Allowed by design. The app warns you but lets you continue.
Fix: Nothing broke. Standings, movement and season points lock in from the scores that existed, and unscored matches count as no result for that week.
The total does not match what you expected.
Cause: Season points are recomputed from scratch on every advance, so they reflect every completed week's tier standings — not a running tally you can nudge.
Fix: Use the season points adjustment on the standings page. It is stored as an adjustment on top of the computed total, not a replacement — an absolute edit would be recomputed away on the next advance, whereas an adjustment survives.
The champion is not the team that finished in Gold.
Cause: Correct. The champion is whoever accumulated the most season points across the whole season, not whoever sits in the top tier at the end.
Fix: Nothing to fix — that is the point of the format. A team that won Silver every week can out-point one that scraped through Gold.
