Troubleshoot Season Points League

It was renamed. Choose Season Points League (Set Partners); it is the same format and existing leagues are unaffected.

You need exactly tiers × teams per tier fully partnered teams: 15 teams (30 players, all paired) with the default 3 tiers of 5. Players without a partner don't count, and we show how many partnered teams we found.

Pair everyone on the Players tab and add or remove teams until the count matches, or pick a different shape in the League Structure dialog when you tap Generate League (Week 1). For example, 12 teams fit 2 tiers of 6, 3 tiers of 4 or 4 tiers of 3.

No. For any shape other than 3 tiers of 5, we calculate a season points table for you when you generate: the top tier pays the most and each tier below pays less. Within a tier, points go down with finishing place, though in the lower tiers of a large league some neighbouring places can pay the same after rounding. There is no table to enter.

Week 1 tiers are not sorted by rating. Use Edit Groups in the admin menu to move teams between tiers before any Week 1 score is entered. Saving rebuilds that week's round robins.

Edit Groups works only when the current week has matches but no scores yet.

• If the week has no matches, generate or advance to it first.

• If any match is scored, clear those scores before editing.

The tier count and teams per tier are chosen when you generate Week 1 and can't be changed once any match has a score. Check the shape in the League Structure dialog before you confirm.

Gold, Silver and Bronze are used only with exactly three tiers. To use your own names, choose Rename Tiers in the admin menu; it works at any time. Every tier needs a name and names must be unique.

That is allowed after a warning. Standings, movement and season points lock in from the scores entered at the time.

Season points are recalculated from every completed week's tier standings, so they always reflect the scores on record. To correct a total, switch the Standings view to Season Points, tap the team's points, and enter the new Season points total. Future weeks keep adding points on top of it.

That is by design. The champion is the team with the most season points across the whole season, not the team in the top tier at the end. A team that won Silver every week can out-point one that scraped through Gold.
