Run a Season Points League season
Once your teams are in, the season runs on a weekly loop: generate, score, advance.
Generate week 1
On the Matches tab, generate the league. The app seeds your teams into tiers and builds each tier's round robin.
With the default shape that is 3 tiers of 5, and 30 matches in total across the three tiers.
Score the week
Tap a match card, enter the score, submit.
Each team plays every other team in its tier — 4 matches with the default tier size of 5.
Weekly standings update as scores come in. Within each tier teams rank by match record, then head-to-head among tied teams, then point differential.
Advance the week
When play is done, advance. This is the step that applies everything:
Locks in that week's tier standings
Promotes the top finishers and relegates the bottom ones
Awards season points
Generates the next week's round robins for the newly arranged tiers
You choose how many teams move at this point — with the default tier size that is 1 or 2, larger tiers allow more. It is a fresh choice each week.
If matches are still unscored, the app warns you but lets you continue. Standings and movement lock in from the scores entered so far, and unscored matches count as no result for that week.
Adjusting tiers by hand
You can rearrange which teams sit in which tier — for example after treating week 1 as a trial seeding.
This is only allowed when the current week has matches but no scores yet:
No matches yet → generate the week first
Any match scored → clear those scores first
Saving tier changes regenerates that week's round robins.
Season points and corrections
Season points are recomputed from scratch on every advance, so re-running one never double-counts.
If you need to correct a team's total, use the season points adjustment on the standings page. It is stored as an adjustment on top of the computed total rather than replacing it — an absolute edit would simply be recomputed away next week, whereas an adjustment survives.
Season length
A new league starts with 6 weeks. Add play dates to extend the season, remove them to shorten it.
There is no separate finalize step. Completing the last scheduled week finalizes that week's points, and the champion is whoever has the most season points.
Standings views
Weekly standings show each tier's current round robin — these reset every week.
Season standings list every team in one table with their tier badge and season points total. This is the one that decides the champion.
