Run a Season Points League season
A Season Points League (Set Partners) runs on a weekly loop from the admin menu on the Matches tab: Generate League (Week 1), score the week, then Advance to Week N. Each advance locks in the week's tier standings, promotes and relegates teams, awards season points and creates the next week's round robins.
This format was previously called Tier League (Set Partners).
Generate week 1
You need exactly tiers × teams per tier fully partnered teams (15 with the default 3 tiers of 5).
On the Matches tab, open the admin menu and choose Generate League (Week 1).
In League Structure, pick Tiers (2 to 8) and Teams per tier (3 to 10), then tap Continue.
Tap Continue again to create the tiers and Week 1's round robins.
The structure is locked once any match has a score. For a custom shape we calculate the season points table for you, so there is nothing else to fill in.
Week 1 tiers are not sorted by rating. To move teams between tiers, use Edit Groups before any Week 1 score is entered, as described below.
Score the week
Each team plays every other team in its tier: 4 matches with the default tier size of 5. Weekly standings update as scores come in.
Advance the week
Open the admin menu and choose Advance to Week N.
In Promotion & Relegation, choose how many teams move between tiers this week.
Tap Advance Week.
The number of teams that move is a fresh choice each week. The most you can pick is 1 with 3 or 4 teams per tier, 2 with 5 or 6, 3 with 7 or 8, and 4 with 9 or 10. Teams move one tier at a time.
If any match in the week is unscored, we ask before advancing. Standings, movement and season points lock in from the scores entered so far.
Adjust tiers by hand
Use Edit Groups in the admin menu to move teams between tiers, for example after treating week 1 as a trial seeding. It works only when the current week has matches but no scores yet; clear any scores first. Saving rebuilds that week's round robins.
Rename tiers
Tiers are named Gold, Silver and Bronze with three tiers, and Tier 1, Tier 2 and so on otherwise. Choose Rename Tiers in the admin menu to change them at any time. Every tier needs a name and names must be unique.
Edit a team's season points
Correct a total from the Standings tab.
Switch the standings view to Season Points.
Tap the team's points (the pencil icon).
Enter the new Season points total and tap Save.
Your correction is kept: future weeks keep adding points on top of the total you entered.
Season length and the champion
A new league has 6 weeks. To change the length, add or remove play dates with Manage League Dates in the admin menu. After the last scheduled week there is nothing more to advance. The final week counts toward season points once every match in it is scored. The champion is the team with the most season points, not necessarily the team in the top tier.
