Create a Season Points League
Season Points League is always a League event, running weekly across a season. Teams register as fixed pairs.
Look for Season Points League (Set Partners) in the format dropdown. This format was previously called Tier League (Set Partners).
Create from CourtReserve
Use this when the event already exists in CourtReserve and registrations should stay linked.
Before you start: club owner access in Good Game Sports, CourtReserve admin access, and a CourtReserve plan with API access (Scale or Enterprise). If the integration is not connected, complete Enable API access in CourtReserve and Connect CourtReserve first.
Open your club page, then click Manage Club.
Select CourtReserve Events.
Find your event under Unpublished. Events sync from 2 days in the past to 100 days in the future.
Click + Create Event on GGS.
Set Event Type to League, Type to Doubles, and Format to Season Points League (Set Partners).
Click Create Event.
An event created directly in Good Game Sports cannot be linked to CourtReserve later. If you want registration sync, start from CourtReserve.
Create directly in Good Game Sports
From the dashboard, click + Create Event.
Enter the Event Name and set Event Type to League.
Set Format to Season Points League (Set Partners).
Fill in Location Details and Date and Time.
Choose your Registration Type and pricing, then continue.
On the divisions step set Division Type to Doubles and confirm the format.
Complete the description sections, then create the event.
Decide your shape first
The default is 3 tiers of 5 teams — Gold, Silver, Bronze, 15 teams total.
You can change both the number of tiers and the teams per tier. Your total team count is tiers × teams per tier, and the league will not generate until you have exactly that many fully partnered teams.
Shape | Teams needed | Tier names |
|---|---|---|
3 tiers of 5 (default) | 15 | Gold, Silver, Bronze |
3 tiers of 6 | 18 | Gold, Silver, Bronze |
4 tiers of 5 | 20 | Tier 1–4 |
2 tiers of 6 | 12 | Tier 1–2 |
Any shape other than 3 tiers of 5 requires you to supply your own season points table — the values awarded for each finishing position in each tier. The built-in table only covers the default shape, and a custom shape will not run without one.
Decide this before registration opens, since it fixes your team count exactly.
Add teams
Teams are fixed pairs, so the roster needs to record who is with whom.
Spreadsheet import with both partners per row is fastest.
Add players individually and use the pencil icon to set each player's partner.
CourtReserve sync — go to the Players tab and click Sync CR. See Sync players into an event.
Every player must be paired before you can generate. The app reports how many fully partnered teams it found, so you can fix registrations before continuing.
Seed the tiers
Tiers are seeded from your existing team order — the strongest teams fill the top tier, the next group the tier below, and so on.
To control who starts where, arrange teams before you generate, or edit tier assignments afterwards before any scores are entered.
Set up the season
Add your play dates. A new league starts with 6 weeks, spaced seven days apart from the division start date. Add dates to lengthen the season or remove them to shorten it.
Configure the opt-in deadline — see League opt-in.
