Create a Round Robin (Set Partners) event
Create a Standard Round Robin (Set Partners) event from CourtReserve when registrations should stay synced, or directly in Good Game Sports when you manage the roster yourself.
Teams register as fixed pairs and keep the same partner all event. For how the format behaves, see How Round Robin (Set Partners) works.
If you want the round robin to seed a playoff bracket, choose one of the Round Robin to… formats instead — Single Elimination, Double Elimination, or Compass. This format ends when pool play ends.
Create from CourtReserve
Use this path when the event already exists in CourtReserve and you want registrations to stay linked.
Before you start:
Club owner access in Good Game Sports
CourtReserve admin access
A CourtReserve plan with API access (Scale or Enterprise)
If the integration is not set up yet, complete Enable API access in CourtReserve and Connect CourtReserve first.
Open your club page, then click Manage Club.
Select CourtReserve Events.
Find your event under Unpublished. Events sync from 2 days in the past to 100 days in the future.
Click + Create Event on GGS.
In the Create GGS Event dialog, set:
Event Type: League, Tournament, or Single Day Event
Type: Doubles for partner pairs, or Singles
Format: Round Robin (Set Partner)
Click Create Event. For a multi-session CourtReserve event, click Create {number} Single Day Events instead.
The event moves to Published and registrations sync. Players keep registering in CourtReserve.
An event created directly in Good Game Sports cannot be linked to CourtReserve later. If you want registration sync, start from CourtReserve.
Create directly in Good Game Sports
From the dashboard, click + Create Event.
Under Basic Information, enter the Event Name.
Under Event Type & Format, set Event Type to League, Tournament, or Single Day Event.
Set Format to Round Robin (Set Partner).
Fill in Location Details and Date and Time.
Choose your Registration Type and pricing, then continue.
On the divisions step, set Division Type to Doubles or Singles, and confirm the division Format.
Complete the description sections, then create the event.
Choose League when the event runs across multiple play dates. Leagues track availability with opt-in per date rather than day-of check-in.
Add teams
Because partners are fixed, the roster needs to record who is paired with whom.
Spreadsheet import is the fastest route for a doubles event — include both partners in the import so each row arrives as a complete team.
Adding players individually works too. Use the pencil icon next to a player to edit their profile and set their partner.
CourtReserve sync pulls registrations automatically. Go to the Players tab and click Sync CR. See Sync players into an event.
In a doubles division, any players still unpaired when you generate are paired up automatically, and a leftover odd player is entered as a single-player team. Set partners deliberately before generating if the pairings matter.
What to check after you create it
The division format reads Round Robin (Set Partner).
The division type matches how players are entering — Doubles or Singles.
Every team shows both partners on the Players tab.
For leagues, your play dates are set before you generate the first round.
What to do next
Configure your courts if you want the schedule to fit a fixed number.
