Managing Players

Moving players between divisions

Move a player to a different division when their registration needs to change before or during an event. You can also copy players from one division to another when the same players need to appear in both divisions without re-entering them.

Before you move or copy anyone: check the target division’s capacity, eligibility rules, and current round status. Changes can affect seeding, standings, and the schedule.

What to review first

Move one player to another division

Use this when a player should leave their current division and compete in a different one.

Make the move before you generate rounds or brackets whenever possible. That keeps seeding, standings, and scheduling clean.

If the event is already underway, review the impact on the current round before you save the change.

Copy players between divisions

Use this when players should stay in their current division and also be added to another division.

  1. Open the event and go to Players.

  2. In the source division, click the three-dot menu.

  3. Click Copy Players To....

  4. In Select Players to Copy, choose the players you want to copy and click Next.

  5. In Copy Players To, choose the destination division and confirm the copy.

Players already in the destination division are skipped automatically, so the copy does not create duplicates.

After you copy players, review both divisions to confirm the right players appear in each list and that the next round still looks correct.

What changes after a move or copy

  • A moved player may leave one division’s standings and enter another division’s standings.

  • A copied player stays in the original division and is also added to the destination division.

  • Seeding may recalculate for the destination division.

  • Future rounds may regenerate with different matchups or courts.

Timing matters

Make changes as early as you can, then confirm the next generated round before the division starts play. If you wait until after matches are live, review standings and scheduling again.
