How Leaderboard Notifications Work
Players who are members of your club get automatic leaderboard notifications: a welcome email and push after their first match, a push for their first match each month, milestone pushes at set win and match counts, and a push when they climb into the top 100, 50, 25, 10 or reach #1. You don't need to set anything up.
Who gets them
Only members of your club get leaderboard notifications. Players join your club automatically when they register for one of your events, claim a registration, or a host matches them to a username on an event's Players tab. A player gets at most one leaderboard push per match. Only round robin, ladder and other pool matches send these notifications; bracket matches update the leaderboard but don't send them.
Welcome email (first match)
When a player completes their first match at your club, they get an email titled "You're on the [club] leaderboard!" with a link to your club's rankings, plus a push notification. Players who have turned off emails don't get the email.
Monthly return notification
When a player who has played before plays their first match of a new month, they get a push saying they're on that month's leaderboard.
Milestone notifications
Players get a push when they reach exactly 25, 50, 75, 100, 500 or 1,000 wins, or the same numbers of matches played. For example: "You've won 50 matches!"
Ranking threshold notifications
After each round robin, ladder or other pool match is scored, a player who moves into the top 100, 50, 25 or 10, or reaches #1, gets a push. Bracket matches update the leaderboard but don't send these pushes. Rank is measured on your club's default leaderboard view (its time range, sort and event types). A threshold only counts when your club has more players than that number, so a club with 40 players never sends "top 50".
This applies to all players in the match, not just the winner. If your default view is sorted by matches played, points won or point %, playing a match can move both players up, so both may get a push.
