Managing rounds and dates in Ladder formats

Ladder leagues can now run more than one round on the same date. This is useful for play nights where you want to generate, score, and continue into another round without creating a new league date.

Sub-rounds are only available in leagues. Non-league ladder events keep the original round flow, with one round per date and no same-date sub-rounds.

Set round dates

  1. Tap the admin button.

  2. Select Manage League Dates.

  3. Tap a round card to set or change its date and time.

  4. Use X to clear a date.

Round dates also control the opt-in deadline countdown.

Run multiple rounds on one date

In ladder leagues, you can assign more than one round to the same date. This lets you use a single play night for back-to-back rounds.

When more than one round shares a date, the app labels them as Week 1-1, Week 1-2, and so on. The first number is the league date. The second number is the sub-round for that date.

Create the next round for a date

There are two ways to continue play on a league date that already exists.

  1. If the next sub-round already exists and is empty, open that round and click Generate Week 2-1 or the matching round label.

  2. If you need to create another sub-round first, open the Admin tab and click Add round for this date. This creates a new empty sub-round for the same date.

After you add a sub-round, go to that empty week and generate the matches there. Adding the sub-round does not generate matches by itself.

When you open a date with multiple rounds, the app jumps to the first empty round so you can generate the next set of matches faster.

Change the round label

By default, rounds are named Round 1, Round 2, and so on. You can replace Round with a label such as Week, Session, or Night.

  1. Tap the admin button.

  2. Select Change Round Label.

  3. Enter the new label.

  4. Save.

When a date includes multiple rounds, the custom label is used in the sub-round naming too. For a dedicated walkthrough, see Configuring custom round labels.

Delete an empty round

If you create an extra round and have not generated or played it yet, you can remove it. After you delete an empty round, the sub-round numbering updates automatically.

You cannot clear a round while auto-generation is enabled. Stop auto-generation first. Clearing a round deletes all matches and scores for that round.

Move between rounds

Use the left and right arrows at the top of the matches view to move between rounds. If a date has several sub-rounds, use the scrollable round tabs to move between them. The Generate button shows the exact round label, such as Generate Week 2-1, so you know which round you are creating.

In non-league ladder events, round navigation stays the same as before because those events do not use sub-rounds.

To automate later rounds, see Auto-generation in Ladder formats. To review results while moving through rounds, see How Standings Are Calculated. For substitution workflows in ladder play, see Make substitutions across event formats.
